If you are a fan of horror movies or love going into haunted houses just for fun, you know what we are talking about. When we get scared crazy things start happening inside our bodies. Everything starts to change, from the way we look to the way we behave. Some people just love this awkward feeling, because it’s fun and exciting for them. Adrenaline levels go up and that’s what gets people hooked on the scary stuff. But, I bet you never want to visit these kinds of places at night. These locations are notoriously scary and definitely will give you the heebie-jeebies.
1. The Ottawa jail hostel was once Ottawa’s jail.
It closed back in 1972. A year later it opened as a hostel for budget travelers.
Three executions happened at this location, including Patrick J. Whelan whose ghost still haunts the building.
2. This old and abandoned hospital
A lot of people feel uncomfortable in hospitals, even during the day. But look at this one.
One night a nurse was walking to work when she noticed a bright blue light shining from the inside of an abandoned hospital. Who could have done this?
3. The dolls island
It really sounds creepy. A man in Mexico hung up hundreds of dolls hoping to appease the ghost of a little girl who died there. I just think he created a bigger problem.
Visitors claim they still hear whispers at night and feel the doll’s eyes following them.
4. Hashima Island and its abandoned buildings
This island is a deserted coal mine in Japan. It used to be full of miners and life, but now it’s full of abandoned concrete buildings.
It is now a ghost town. People say they can hear murmuring and whispering sounds while they trek arond the place.
5. Japan’s Aokigahara Forest
Going into the forest, especially at night, is not recommended. Especially in this forest. It is located at the bottom of Mount Fuji and it has been the subject of many documentaries.
It is known as the country’s most active suicide point. Also, people consider it haunted as there were several paranormal activities reported. Signs inside the forest can warn you not to go inside.
6. Carco village
Carco is an abandoned village in Italy. The last locals in the village lived there in 1963.
Since then, no one has ever returned to the village and it has become a ghost town.
7. Sedlec Ossuary
Sedlec Ossuary is a small chapel in the Czech Republic. Although it seems like a normal church, look twice.
The decorations are actually the skeletons of around 70,000 people.
8. Poveglia Island in Italy
This island is full of bones and skulls with waves crashing against the shores.
There have been a number of paranormal activities reported. Definitely not a place to go visit at night!
